Of all the services we offer, tree and shrub planting is probably the most gratifying.
Tree and shrub planting not only beautifies your landscape, it’s a vital part of being a good steward of the environment.
Whenever possible, we like to create the landscape plan with our in-house landscape design services because this allows us the flexibility to be creative and use native species plants and a variety of not only trees and shrubs but perennial flowers too.
Living architecture. Plants have their own unique form and shape. A good landscape plan will account for the way plants grow. At Trimmers, we design and install our plantings in such a way that the plants can grow without crowding each other out. With natural pruning, these types of landscapes can be maintained with a minimal maintenance.
Soil conditioning. When planting trees and shrubs it’s important to put a “$50 plant in $100 hole.” We dig an extra-wide whole and use our own unique compost blend around the root ball. In addition to that, we use a root stimulant to push out root growth as quickly as possible. This is so important! A tree or shrub that establishes itself in the soil quickly is less likely to suffer winter injury and start growing sooner.
Locally sourced plants. At Trimmers Landscaping, we source our plant material from local nurseries. This supports local New Hampshire businesses, ensures a zone specific product able to withstand New England winters, and helps the environment by reducing fuel consumption in deliveries.
Do it today! A mature landscape takes time to grow. As the old saying goes, “The best time to plant a tree was 10 years ago; the second best time is today.” Our landscape designer is looking forward to meeting with you!
