Nothing says “New Hampshire” like granite.
At Trimmers Landscaping, we love creating landscapes with natural stone, and especially granite. Whenever possible we source our materials locally – to contribute to the New Hampshire economy and to practice good environmental stewardship by reducing our carbon footprint in whatever way we can. The majority of the granite we install comes from New Hampshire quarries.
Granite entry stairs are our most popular installed granite product. Very often we are replacing the old precast concrete entry stairs that were provided when the house was built. Granite makes an excellent choice for front entry stairs because of its hardness and resistance to ice melt products. All of our front entry granite steps are installed onto a poured concrete platform to ensure they will never settle.
Granite steps can also be installed into walkways, or through retaining walls to help adapt to grade changes. As in our front entry stair installations, we take extra precautions to ensure no shifting or settling occurs in your walkway steps. When installing granite steps, we drill into the bottom of each step and secure them with steel anchor pins to prevent sliding. We have never had a call back due to shifting granite steps.
Granite lampposts are the last lamppost you’ll ever install! Not only are they permanent, they serve as a beautiful anchor in the landscape. We provide complete lamppost installation services from trenching, wire installation, and we’ll even mount the lamp head for you!
Granite mailbox posts are another popular item. Highly resistant to salt spray and immune to rot, granite posts last a lifetime! We install granite mailbox posts complete with iron scroll…we even install the mailbox for you!
Granite accent pieces like cobblestone edging, birdbaths, hitching posts, compasses and benches provide continuity and a sense of permanence in your landscape design. Ask us how we can bring a little piece of the Granite State into your yard!
